The Sepers Group is a collaboration between various companies, including the shipyards of Scheepswerf Heerewaarden BV and Scheepswerf Dreumel BV. Our professionals excel in the new construction and repair of marine installations, offshore installations, mechanical installations and dredging equipment. With a history and wealth of experience in our family business reaching back nearly 100 years, craftsmanship, innovation and tradition go hand in hand. We ensure the best quality and dimensional precision.
For the origins of the Sepers Group, we have to go back to 1928. That was the year when A.J. Sepers, the great-grandfather of the current management, opened a village forge in Heerewaarden. He soon expanded his activities to include maintenance and repair of the fishing fleet in Heerewaarden. Under the leadership of the second generation, J.W. (Jaap) Sepers, the company evolved to include the new construction of barges, pusher tugs, suction dredhers, tugboats and passenger ships.
The current directors Nico and Ad Sepers joined the company in the late 1970s and 1980s, respectively. Josh, Nico's son, now represents the fourth generation in the business.
Since the early 1980s, major machining work, in addition to shipbuilding activities, has been an important part of the Sepers Group.
In 1999, Scheepswerf Dreumel was added to the Group. This location is where new ship construction and welding and construction work take place, while Heerewaarden houses the machine factory with one of Europe's largest lathes. Ship repairs are also carried out from this location. Thanks to a shared passion for innovation and craftsmanship, the Sepers Group remains at the forefront of the maritime industry.
